Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data HeyOrbo (“we”) collects when you use the Orbo desktop app for Windows and the website heyorbo.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. HeyOrbo is based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Questions: [email protected].

What we collect

Account data

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to identify your account and contact you about it.

Screenshots

Orbo takes a screenshot only while it is working on a request you made, so it can see what you’re asking about. Screenshots are sent to our servers and our AI providers to produce the answer, and are not kept after the request is complete. Orbo does not watch or record your screen in the background, and its own window is hidden from screen capture.

Voice audio

When you talk to Orbo or dictate, the audio is sent to our servers to be transcribed and is deleted once the text is produced. The same applies to audio you record or upload on the free speech-to-text tool. We keep only the number of seconds used, to apply plan limits.

Conversation history

On Free, conversation text is not kept. On Pro it is kept for 30 days and on Max until you delete it, so you can look back at earlier answers. You can delete it any time from the app.

Computer control

In Automatic mode Orbo moves the mouse and types on your behalf, only for the task you asked for. Press Esc to stop it at once. The actions themselves are not recorded beyond what is needed to complete the request.

Payments

Paid plans are sold through Polar, which acts as our payment processor and merchant of record. Polar handles your card details; we never see or store them. We receive your subscription status and billing email.

Usage and device data

We count usage (requests, minutes, tasks) per account to apply plan limits, and keep basic technical logs (IP address, app version, errors) to keep the service secure and working.

Website analytics and bot protection

heyorbo.com uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and Cloudflare (including Turnstile on the free tools) to protect it from abuse. These services may set cookies or process your IP address.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run Orbo, and only what they need:

• AI model providers, to transcribe speech, understand screenshots and generate answers and voice replies
• Google, for sign-in and website analytics
• Polar, for payments and subscriptions
• Cloudflare, for hosting, security and bot protection

We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t allow our providers to use your screenshots or audio to train their models where we can opt out.

How long we keep data

Screenshots and audio: only while your request is processed. Conversation history: as described above. Account and billing records: while your account is open, and afterwards as long as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can see and delete your conversation history in the app, and you can ask us to export or delete your account and its data by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights to access, correct, restrict or object to processing of your data; contact us and we’ll help.

Children

Orbo is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and let account holders know by email or in the app.
